General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR):
our Communications Privacy Notice Statement

The European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation is in effect from 25 May 2018.

You have a say over how we deal with you and what we do with your data. We take all possible steps to ensure that your information is safe and accurate at all times. We do not share your data with anyone other than for Scouting and Gift Aid purposes.

In order to keep in touch with potential members, members and past members and supporters and maintain records we have chosen to rely on what the Regulations call “legitimate interest”. This means that we undertake to keep you as a member of 1st Hinchley Wood Scout Group informed of events activities, etc through newsletters and electronic mailings.

The GDPR covers provisions such as your rights to see the data we hold on you, how we process that, your right to a correction or erasing and your right to restriction using the data.

Please do contact us if you would like to change your mailing preferences.
